Toyota Corolla is a compact car that is manufactured by the ever so popular Japanese manufacturer, Toyota. The Corolla line was first introduced in the year 1966. In the year 1997, it became the best selling name plate in the world. More than thirty-five million Corolla's had been sold as of the year 2007. On average, one Toyota Corolla is sold every forty seconds. This is amazing for this car manufacturer.

Since the release of the Toyota Corolla, it has gone under many re-vamps as far as performance and design go. It will continue to advance in hopes it will continue to sell in great numbers. Toyota is well-known for consistently and continuously advancing the vehicles in which they manufacture.

The Corolla is manufactured not only in Japan, but also in the following countries as well: Brazil, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela. Previously, Corolla's were also being produced in Australia and the United States. However, those operations have since closed.
